Our full name is Waltham Forest Council Employees Credit Union Ltd or for short (Forest Savers) and we help employees save their wages to their Forest Savers account.
It was set up and founded by the then Council of Economic Development Unit The Credit Union has become more self-sufficient since then and no longer relies on the council for funding.
As money is deducted from your wages or bank transfer at a date of your choice, you can save and not miss the money, that way when it comes to Birthdays or Christmas (along with hundreds of other days that creep up on us all) you will have a little (or lot) saved away to make money problems a little easier.
We offer you a saving account where you can save as little as £10 per month.
There is a one-off joining fee of £5.00 from your first monthly contributions, then no further charges.
All members accounts are insured by CUNA Mutual from the day you join to the day you die, dependant on savings.
